After completion of this course, the students will be able to provide care of woman   throughout the maternity cycle.

Intended Learning outcomes of course (ILOs)
    By the end of the course the student should be able to:
أ- المعلومات والمفاهيم:
 
 
 
 
A1- Identify pre-conceptual care.
A2- Describe antenatal and postnatal care to women during normal and high-risk pregnancy.
A3- Describe care to women during normal and abnormal labor and child.
A4- Show immediate care to the newborn.
A5- Describe family planning care.
 
ب- المهارات الذهنية:
 
B1- Adopt the principles of nursing process.
B2- Apply principles of human needs.
ج- المهارات المهنية الخاصة بالمقرر:
 
 
 
C1- Perform a client (woman and newborn) assessment.
C2- Perform a pelvic examination during labor.
C3- Monitor labor using the partograph.
C4-Demonstrate antenatal, postnatal and gynecological care as well as newborn care.

d1- Use effective communication techniques when counseling women.
d2- Apply principles of advocacy, empowerment, ethics, human rights and gender issues to care provision.
